Set up a tour of Merida and Yucatan with all the Sister cities of cities in Yucatan, visiting Merida, the Mayan Pyramids and Temples, and Cancun. For example, Merida has 13 Sister Cities, including 7 in the USA. We could do this once a year, for a week.
Work with airlines to try for direct service to Merida. Our goal would be SRQ to Merida, but Tampa or St Petersburg would be a positive.
Example - Allegiant flies into SRQ, St Petersburg, and Punta Gorda. One of their flights could
continue on to Merida.
Cruise Ships serve Merida from Miami and Galveston, TX, and Tampa has cruises to Cancun or Cozumel. There are three cruise lines that provide the Florida to Yucatan service.
We could propose that the Tampa cruises add Merida
We would ask them if passengers can book one cruise to Merida, and return later on another ship.
